- I have tried to be tolerant of AFS, but to market this system with
- little recovery available borders on being unethical. I know, we've
- seen worse, but these days more than ever for the Amiga, it's let
- the buyer beware. The magazine reviewers should have been a little
- stronger in their warnings -- like USE AT YOUR OWN RISK -- if you
- lose more than the 31 max files, you are SCREWED! With DS4, you may
- (or may not) get your work back. I have a gigabyte of "live/dead"
- disk waiting for a solution :-< , lucky for me it's only one
- partition on a 4G drive. I am now in the process of returning to
- FFS on the rest of the drive. If/when the ever get the damned thing
- supported properly, I'll return to it. For now, I'd rather risk a
- checksum error and lose some data than risk losing an entire
- partition (again). Do I sound pissed? You bet!
